Fifty Shades of Gray (and Orange)
This room embraces the new neutral - gray with some warmer tones of griege. This warmer gray works with any metal - silver, gold, bronze or iron. I've created a living room that mixes all of these finishes and then pops in a fun bit of orange. I love the Kilim cocktail ottoman paired with the more ethnic ikat rug. I've suggested Sherwin Williams Popular Gray for the main wall color and I would cut this in half for the ceiling color. I've also included Obstinate Orange as an accent color. This would be perfect for a smaller accent wall with any of the tables or chests on it. If you don't have a suitable accent wall, consider adding a 1" - 2" horizontal stripe of the orange directly below your crown molding (or at the ceiling line if you don't have crown). This is a great little trick to pop a bit of color without overwhelming a space and it draws your eye up.
