Cottage Loving Family Room

Do you love the coziness of a cottage style house? This room is for you. A linen slipcovered look for the sofa and club chair begin the look and the painted furniture and accessories complete it. I would use a pair of the blue chairs at a right angle to the sofa. Across from the chairs I would place the geometric print wing chair at an angle with the floor lamp beside it behind the Astragal wine side table with a metal sphere tucked in between the two. Be sure that the white of the sofa blends with the background white of the chair. That is impossible to tell on line. Order a sample for approval before ordering. The mis-matched ottoman creates a "collected" look. Flank the sofa with a pair of Xander Side Tables and a pair of Truro Lamos.Fill the Grace Cabinet with milk glass or blue and white china and your baby's silver cups. A pair of wine tables flank the sofa with a pair of lamps on them as shown. The buncher stool ottoman becomes a sofa table and the chandelier centers this grouping. A back corner becomes an inviting reading area when the unexpected Hoop chair draws the eye by introducing a new texture/value to the room. To keep it from looking out of place pair it with the painted white chest with the beautiful blue painting over it and the Simon lamp on top. A room size sisal rug would finish out this room. Paint colors shown are only a starting point. Whites are tricky tricky. Choose the fabric first then match paint to that.
