If we had to sum up 2020 in one word, it would be “Unexpected.” This unpredictable, hopeful, scary, and transformative year has changed the way we do so many things, but it hasn’t changed everything! Scout & Nimble is still here bringing you the best in home design, trending products, and industry leaders. While summing up 2020 might seem like a monumental task, we’re taking it on and sharing your 2020 favorites!
The Projects We Revealed in 2020
Transformation was the name of the game this year! We were so thrilled to work with several returning clients and a few new faces to create simple, refreshed spaces, full remodels, and even a new build or two. Ready to relive our 2020 projects? Read on!
Mixed Mod Part II
Completed Spring 2020
In early 2019, we revealed the Mixed Mod Project. This sweet living room remodel gave our clients the itch to transform their entire 1960’s mid-century modern from the inside out.
The neutral toned exterior received a bold facelift with contrasting black and white features, turning the unique home into a real showstopper. No, really. People were stopping their cars and chatting with our team on install day!
The interior became a family oasis with the addition of a gorgeous and 100% functional recreation room. This former guest room became a space for the family to enjoy game night or to kick back and watch movies. Upstairs, we gave our client’s their very own master bathroom, complete with custom tiling, gorgeous views, and a free-standing tub that pairs perfectly with bubbles and a glass of wine. Revisiting Lakeview
Refreshed Early 2020
In the summer of 2018, we released Lakeview Part I and II. This lakeside home was totally remodeled to become a gorgeous, rustic-inspired, accessible home for our clients. This year, we revisited Lakeview & brought some of our favorite new pieces to bring a fresh new look to the home.
If you’re craving a home refresh but don’t have the time or budget for a remodel, you can totally change the look of your space with a few new accessories. For Lakeview, we brought in new artwork, a group of lovely new vases, fresh greenery and florals, and refreshed throw pillows. Each room in this home was given a simple facelift that didn’t even require heavy lifting! Now that is our kind of install day! Crow’s Nest
Completed Early 2020
Aptly named for the beautiful little hideaway tucked into the highest levels of the home, Crow’s Nest is the new build we just can’t get enough up. Hidden away on a bluff in the woods, home may be located in the midwest but its style is all southern Florida charm. A coastal color scheme and clean, natural accents come together to make a family home that we know our clients will treasure for years to come.
This home is full of bright, natural light and wonderfully detailed textures and finishes. Lightly washed wood floors carry you from room to room where the awe-inspiring moments simply do not cease. Whether you find yourself in the living room with that gorgeous custom plaster fireplace, or the master bath that has refined the art of relaxation, you are surround by beauty.
