Hailing from Indianapolis, Whittney Parkinson was raised by parents in the design field. With an education in art and interior design, Parkinson is skilled at flawlessly blending modern appeal and old-world charm.
In the Penn Home, Parkinson uses vintage-inspired wallpaper, shaker design elements, mixed wood tones and brass hardware to achieve a timeless and inviting interior.
Carefully curated, every detail culminates in an elegant and cohesive space. Mixed-and-matched hardware in the kitchen is joined by timeless style and an eye-catching brass finish. We love the two-toned cabinetry Parkinson chose that blends shaker-style with a hint of heritage luxe.
The brick floor of the pantry laid in a classic herringbone pattern achieves stylish durability. Parkinson’s clever use of pattern and color creates a stunning and textured environment, with the floral wallpaper perfectly tying the room together.
Vintage-inspired wallpaper adds visual interest to an otherwise blank canvas while dark wood tones throughout the home bring continuity to the space.
The Penn Reno kitchen emphasizes the historical feel of heritage luxe style. Both beautiful and long-lasting, the soapstone countertops continue behind the range in a unique curved design. The soapstone both contrasts and complements cream floor-to-ceiling cabinets and a shiplap backsplash. The traditional rug beneath the sink, gold hardware and utilitarian lighting bring a coziness to the kitchen.
