Scandinavian Style Living Room
I love that pastels are back in style, only these aren't pulled from your granny's Easter dress! This Scandinavian style living room uses a contemporary pastel palette, danish style furniture, blonde wood tones, clean silhouettes, and copper accessories and mixes them with crisp white accents to bring the fresh look we love about Mid-Century Modern decor. I can imagine this living space, tons of big windows and light bouncing off of the metallic finishes, the white on the walls and furniture make the space feel open and airy and all of the patterned pillows and casual sofa keep it feeling comfy and welcoming when you just want to kick back and thumb through the newest Dwell magazine. The days of the home office are gone, but I still like to have a cute little desk area to keep my laptop when I'm not using it to build stylish Scout & Nimble rooms. And of course there must always be something for the fashionable dog - a coordinated floor cushion. This room is what modernism is supposed to look like: simple, inviting, and fresh.
