Palimpsest Vase

The Palimpsest Small Vase is a porcelain vessel glazed in a painterly pattern of splashes in brown, pink, light blue, and white. The large-scale form feels as though it has been aging on a shelf for decades, yet the brilliance of the original pink and blue glaze still comes through beneath the time-worn surface. Many different tools and glazes are employed to build the layers of texture on this handmade vase, so surface variations will occur from piece to piece.
