Coutts Garden Framed Silk Panel

The Coutts Garden Framed Silk Panel is a hand-painted chinoiserie scene of village life, with figures at work and at play among thatched pavilions, willows, blossoming trees, rocky outcrops, and winding streams. The composition unfolds on a cream silk ground, its muted palette lending the softly aged character of an heirloom textile. A natural-stained oak frame keeps the presentation restrained. At just over four feet tall, the panel rewards a close look, its finely observed details drawing the eye from one vignette to the next. It works on a wall above a console, a stair landing, or any open wall with room for a single large piece.
