The top sits at 36 inches, standing height for most people, and a locking tilt adjustment takes it from flat to angled like a draftsman's board. That covers a drawing angle for sketching and a flat surface for standing through a long call, on one 60-by-28-inch plane. There is no drawer here, which keeps it a surface for work in progress rather than a storage piece. White oak solids and veneers in Maris, a lightly toned finish with gentle grain movement, warm up the metal X-base stretcher so it does not read industrial. The top holds 200 pounds and arrives ready to use.

warranty:
For a period of one year after date of shipment, the manufacturer (HOOKER FURNITURE CORPORATION), after inspection by its authorized representative, will have repaired locally or replaced, as determined by HOOKER FURNITURE CORPORATION, any item that is found to be defective due to faulty workmanship or material. This guarantee applies only if furniture is stored and used under normal conditions.
finish construction:
Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
frame construction:
Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
