The Scout House (page 4)

"The Scout House is the project where I made every design call myself, from the floor plan to the last pillow on the bed. I built it from the studs up with full creative range, and every piece you see on this page is something I picked for a specific spot in the house. The rooms lean warm and collected. In the kitchen and dining room, the Fayth Bar + Counter Stool and the Cove Heather Twill Stone Dining Chair sit under the Limoges Grande Pendant and the Katie Large Chandelier. The bedrooms are layered with the Meryl Broadway Mist Slipcover Bed, the Heritage Clay / Natural Rug and the Olive Velvet Pillow Cover, and the walls carry Laura Ashley wallpaper and original art like Last Light Through the Grove. What I love about shopping a finished house is that the pairings are already worked out. You can bring home one piece, like the Lilah Swivel Glider or the Julia Walnut Wood Wall Mirror, or borrow a whole room's palette. Either way, you're starting from combinations I've already lived with and know work together."
