Sinharaja Vase

The Sinharaja Vase takes the form of a generous lidded jar, its body carried in hand-applied relief of branching trunks, leaves, and swelling buds in white porcelain finished in the Blanc de Chine tradition. The ornament rises from sparse, gnarled trunks at the base to dense foliage across the shoulder, while a cluster of sculpted buds crowns the smooth, domed lid. A glossy glaze pools softly into every undercut, emphasizing the depth of each leaf and branch. Substantial enough to stand alone on a mantel in the living room, a console in the entry, or a sideboard in the dining room, the Sinharaja Vase brings finely worked ornament to a classic lidded form.
