Both the seat and back cushions are loose, and the back is filled with a 50/50 down and feather blend encased in down-proof ticking and baffled to stop the fill migrating into one corner — that baffling is why it keeps its loft instead of flattening. Covers are removable and reversible. The frame is furniture-grade laminated hardwood, interlocked and then glued, stapled and screwed, and the outside arms and back are padded for a smoother surface. The natural performance fabric is a polyester blend, cleanable with water or solvent.
