A skirted chair on a swivel base, which is rarer than it sounds and solves a real problem: the soft look of a skirt with the ability to turn toward whoever is talking. Arms stay square so it never drifts toward cottage. The 31 by 37 inch frame is the most compact here, seat 23 inches wide at 19 inches high for a relaxed sit. Base turns quietly. Bodhi Azure or Good Spirits Stone, both polyester that holds up to a family. Built one at a time in Bedford, Virginia.
