The top is a compass rose worked in white oak veneer, cut and laid so the grain runs out from the center in points. At 42 inches square it suits a sectional or a pair of facing sofas, where a rectangle would force someone to reach around a corner. The Maris finish is lightly toned white oak with gentle grain movement, quiet enough that the veneer pattern stays the thing you notice. Curved cutout panels in the pedestal base let light through, which keeps 42 inches of table from reading as a block. Full assembly required. Holds 150 pounds.

warranty:
For a period of one year after date of shipment, the manufacturer (HOOKER FURNITURE CORPORATION), after inspection by its authorized representative, will have repaired locally or replaced, as determined by HOOKER FURNITURE CORPORATION, any item that is found to be defective due to faulty workmanship or material. This guarantee applies only if furniture is stored and used under normal conditions.
finish construction:
Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
frame construction:
Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
