Akkadia Statue Gold Leaf

The Akkadia Statue takes its name from the Akkadian Empire of ancient Mesopotamia, where symbols held a prominent place in the visual culture of the region. A rough, textured ring cast in metal and finished in gold leaf forms the body of the piece, its surface reading more like an ancient relic than polished sculpture. A small horse-like creature perches at the top edge, adding a quiet narrative note to the otherwise abstract form. Set on a cube of polished white Carrara marble, the piece gains a clean, architectural base that plays against the ring's weathered appearance, and a felted bottom protects the surface below. Compact enough for a shelf, substantial enough for a console or desk.
